This specific tour will take you through the beautiful area of Girgenti where the Inquisitor’s Summer Residence is situated. We will see the palace from a distance and listen to its interesting history while enjoying the impressive views of the surrounding countryside. Another interesting stop during this tour would be at Dingli Cliffs, which is considered to be one of the highest points in Malta offering amazing views of both countryside and the Mediterranean Sea. Then we will drive through Buskett Gardens a small forest where Verdala Palace, a palace built during the 16th century is situated. You get to listen to the history of this Palace and the ghost story associated with it! Get an understanding of what happens in Buskett Gardens during the Imnarja feast, a feast which was originally celebrated centuries ago but the Maltese kept the tradition alive by celebrating it every year on the 29th of June. We will then go to Żurrieq which is known for the blue grotto. Weather permitting you can go for a short boat ride to see a series of caves- boat ride not included in the tour price.

Mdina, Mosta and Ta’ Qali

Do you want to know what happened to the Mosta Basilica on the 9th of April 1942? Do you want to enter an underground shelter dug by hand which was used by the Maltese during World War II ?  Then this tour is for you. Other visits on this tour would be to Medieval Mdina, the old capital of Malta and to an artisan center where we will stop at a filigree outlet and a glass blowing factory where we can watch for free a glass blowing demonstration and see the artistic technique of forming wonderful items which are all unique. Tickets for visiting the Mosta Basilica and World War II shelters are to be paid on site.

Siggiewi – A taste of village life

Siggiewi which has been given the title of Citta Ferdinand by Grandmaster Ferdinand von Hompesch is a quiet village and walking through it’s street, would make you feel like time stood still. Once ready from the village we will explore what’s surrounding it in terms of both countryside and seaside. One stop would be at Għar Lapsi (Lapsi cove) where locals enjoy their daily swim during the hot summer months. Then we will have a country visit to see the Laferla Cross from where one can admire the village and almost half of Malta from a distance.
